What length SKE course should I apply for?

Your ITT provider will specify the length of the SKE course required in your offer. If you need to change the length of your SKE course at any time, please seek permission from your ITT provider first.

How long does the course take?

It is recommended by the DfE that you should study 25 hours per week on a full-time SKE course. However, our SKE courses are designed to be flexible, so you can study for fewer hours and take longer to complete your course.

All SKE courses must be completed by 31 August 2025.

When can I start?

Our SKE courses are on-demand and can be started at any time. You can apply via our SKE website.

Once we have received your application, we will check your eligiblity with your ITT provider and then you can get started.

Eligibility Criteria for SKE course funding
